There is a bowl in Fraser the Comedy. It's not a normal round bowl, and I didn't want to make a plain one. Building the clay in layers, I found the clay bent and warped in different directions.

It made me think how recovery perhaps isn't about following a prescribed outcome, and sometimes, we might need to lean into the discomfort.

I remember it making this shit as I was trying to build it up, not doing what I had wanted it to do, a bit like recovery. However, I leant into this and followed the curves it commanded, and it became something I enjoyed making as well as a product.
