Drawing on Project Becomings, the chapter considers how creative exhibitions can move research beyond academic spaces, enabling embodied, relational and collective encounters with recovery.

Introducing the Recovery Assemblage Framework for Trauma (RAF-T), this paper reconceptualises trauma recovery as dynamic, relational and contextually embedded. Grounded in participatory research with adult survivors of childhood trauma, RAF-T explores how bodies, relationships, environments, material conditions, institutions and wider social conditions become entangled in shaping possibilities for recovery.

This research describes the co-development of Animi, an animation-based mental health measure designed with and for young people. Using community-based participatory action research, young co-researchers worked alongside researchers and other stakeholders to develop an accessible, inclusive and engaging alternative to traditional text-based mental health measures.

This systematic review examines the use of image-based approaches to assess mental health and wellbeing in children and young people. It identifies the potential of visual measures to improve accessibility and inclusivity, particularly for young people who may experience barriers with traditional text-based questionnaires, while highlighting the need for further development and robust testing.
