Reimagining recovery narratives following adversity
Clay Pot
I enjoyed working with the clay so much that I made an extra pot. This represents my mum, who was a potter and ceramics painter herself. It also brought back some happy memories of me as a young child making clay things at primary school.
The design decorating the pot is from a small piece of old glass pressed into the clay. The glass pattern is over 100 years old. Working creatively within the glass industry is now my passion and, very luckily, my job!
This largely resulted from my restless self being able to put down roots and finally find a place to call home and the stability and confidence that came with it.
