This piece evokes a lot of emotion for me. Sewing is not necessarily my forte, so while I was making it, this creation was a labour of love. Symbolically, on one hand, my inner child's hourglass depicts lots of time and energy.

I wonder if this is because it is limitless or if this is because it has been underused, unfortunately. On the other hand, it simultaneously conveys the relative lack of time and energy I have as an adult.

 

It serves as a reminder that if I ever feel the need for more time and energy, I can draw on my reserves by evoking my inner child because we are finally connected.

I have an emotional attachment to this piece because the visual messaging resonates loud and clear.
