Clay Boat

I made the boat as it represents the seaside town where I grew up and where my inner child will always struggle to revisit. It now represents the port city I was blown into by my own listless stormy journeys and am now happy to call my home.

My real dad, whom I met for the first time in 2007, is from the port city of Genoa in northern Italy, so perhaps it's always been in my DNA. It also represents for me an onward peaceful voyage and the daily struggle to stay afloat and head above water.

The sea has always been a part of my life, and it gives my inner child peace when I spend time near it or on it
